5 Questions With Alex Weber
Personal Growth Magazine Asks Thought Leaders 5 Impactful Questions…
1 – What are a couple of your most effective habits?
Brave honesty. I was in therapy weekly for 4 years and I’ll say one of the gifts of that was it gives you an eye of awareness. You’re not just in your life. You’re also observing your life – why things happen, or don’t happen. I call brave honesty the ability to look at your life with courage and decide what you would like to be better – without fear or judgement. I exercise this daily but it certainly wasn’t easy in the beginning. Oh, and moving my body saves me.
2 – How do you make your best decisions?
Go with your true gut. If it’s your true gut, instinct and intuition, then you will know without words. Create quiet and space to listen to your gut — not your mind.
3 – How do you push through obstacles you face?
I remember why I want it in the first place. That’s the firepower. I call it your visceral why. It’s the reason that makes your heart beat faster. When you hit that visceral why, there’s nothing you can’t do.
4 – What did you give up in order to reach your goals?
I gave up security and stability. It was a conscious choice. We are all creatures on a floating rock in space. How “safe” do you really wanna play this thing?
5 – What is your favorite quote or saying and why?
“Give the game the best you have, and the best will come back to you.” by Dr. Fiorella, my ninth grade bio teacher, and “If you’re gonna do it, do it.” by my Mom.
