People are motivated by hope.
A common reason people struggle to feel motivated is because they have lost hope that they can ever be different. They are not hopeful that change can happen.
Where little opportunity, little progress, and little resources are perceived; there is also usually little hope. In other words, hopelessness sets in when people think they’ve run out of options.
If you’ve ever struggled to make changes and failed, or wanted to make changes but didn’t see any way to do it, you probably ended up with a sense of hopelessness that dashed your dreams. Then, you simply gave up because there seemed to be no reason to keep trying.
Well, the best way to renew your motivation is by choosing to be hopeful again. Yes, you can choose to be hopeful. Just like happiness – hopefulness is a choice.
It is also a recognition that there are always options and opportunities out there. Just because you can’t see them doesn’t mean they don’t exist.
Open your mind to possibilities you may have not considered or seek help with brainstorming and in getting unstuck. Just like that old saying points out… “two heads are better than one”. And that’s especially true if you’re hopeless.
However, just like you should never take swimming lessons from someone who is drowning…
A hopeless person should never seek advice from someone who is also hopeless and jaded.
Remember, new options and possibilities always produce new hope. Where there is hope, there is always a chance to succeed.
Are you a hopeful person? Are you even open to discovering your true potential?
If you’ve ever felt hopeless, it could be because you can’t see a bigger vision for your life. If that is how you think, you are among the many people who struggle to recognize the potential that exists inside them.
It’s probably childhood conditioning and your limiting beliefs that hold you back and rob you of hope.
How motivated would you BE if you knew you could accomplish larger things in life? Would that change your perspective on your limits? Would it push you to go for your dreams? Would it produce hope for your future?
The thing that stops you is the belief that you are only capable of just so much. If you really knew that you could keep stretching your capabilities, you probably would think nothing of taking on larger challenges – wouldn’t you?
Reaching your highest potential in life requires expanding your vision of what you’re really capable of.
The more potential you can see for yourself, the more hopeful and motivated you will be and the more you will grow. The fact is… you’ re amazing. Whether you believe you are amazing or not doesn’t change the fact that… you ARE amazing.
There are dreams inside of you that are just waiting for you to discover them and set them free!
